The wind kicked up a lot of dust, and the storms got pretty wet. By the end of the week, the device was covered with a mottled patina of corrosion and mud.
At one point, we came by to clean the gunk off the mirrors, but found that someone had beaten us to it. We still don't know who it was, or how they managed to reach so high. I guess Burning Man is just full of good samaritans on stilts.
