In the fall of 1999, when the Telestereoscope was still just a sketch scribbled on the back of my map of Black Rock City, my friend Kiki suggested I keep a web-based diary of the project's progress. It would do me good to be able to look back on it later, she said, and it might help other people who are interested in doing similar work.
It was a good idea. If you've seen the finished project and wonder how it ever got started, just take a look at the first prototype. Ten bucks worth of materials and a bit of headscratching were all it took to get this thing off the ground. So if you've got ideas of your own, start small, but above all, don't be afraid to start!
